Waverhill Park |

Good evening,
I would like to advise everybody that the Soho Road Neighbourhood Team and Birmingham City Council community safety partnership and citywide intervention officers conducted multi agency patrols in Waverhill Park, Waverhill Road during the afternoon of Wednesday 12th August.
There were a number of people in the park consuming alcohol when the officers attended and all people present in the park have been warned and advised of the Public Spaces Protection Order which is currently in place within the park which prohibits the consumption of alcohol.
Numerous people have received a breach of this protection order and have been issued with a fixed penalty notice by Birmingham City Council.
As the designated neighbourhood officer for Soho Road Neighbourhood Team, I intend to continue to treat Waverhill Park as a priority to eliminate anti social behaviour, especially the use of alcohol and drugs. Having met with the council officers numerous times within the last few weeks, we have made plans to ensure we keep the momentum and conduct regular joint patrols to utilise shared knowledge on the most high profile anti social offenders and to enforce the Anti Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 when breaches are committed, through robust action on the spot.
Many thanks for everybody's support.
